I have always been a chubby kid ever since I can remember, growing up in a household where health was seen as a top priority. But since childhood, I was often overfed, which built a habit of emotional eating. That slowly turned into binge eating, and food became my comfort in stressful moments. I would reach for chocolates and ice creams whenever anxiety hit, unaware of what a balanced Indian diet chart really meant.
At 16, I missed my period for more than 6 months and was diagnosed with PCOS. It took me three days to process it and accept that my body needed immediate support. As a teen focused on appearance, this diagnosis brought trauma. I believed being thin meant feeling beautiful and confident. But following an Indian diet plan for weight loss taught me the real power of mindful eating, listening to your body, and staying positive. Six years later, I’m confident, conscious, and thriving with a PCOS diet rooted in Indian foods.
THEN I MADE A CHANGE AND NOW
That’s my journey, and it taught me to prioritize health and truly respect my body. Everyone’s path is different but this transformation made me stronger, inside and out. And yes, I was able to reverse my PCOS through Indian foods and mindful nutrition 😋
Big kudos to my Mom, Gynaecologist, Homeopath & Dietician for being the constant guide in my healing journey ❤️ I’m still the same girl, just more connected to my body, more aware of Ayurvedic nutrition tips, and more intentional with my food and mindset.
